We dislike spam and scams as much as you do. Spamming and scamming people with text messages is not good or ethical business. We do not treat spammers and scammers lightly and do everything in our power to protect our users and the recipients of the messages.

I think a user is spamming or scamming me. What do I do?
If you believe that a message received is spam or a scam, please contact us with information or the message you received so we can take appropriate action.
What happens if I spam, or try to scam?
We do not treat spammers or scammers lightly and users who abuse the Cellcast platform. If we feel you are spamming messages that are inappropriate or are receiving too many complaints from users in our system we will do the following:
- Terminate Your Account
- Blacklist you from using our platform. You will not be able to use Cellcast again.
- We may take legal action against you.
- Note: We presume that you are innocent and investigate all potential spam incidents thoroughly before making a decision. But once weāve made a decision, we act quickly.
What is considered spam?
Spam is unsolicited text messages that is sent to an individual who has not correctly āopted-inā or requested receiving information from you. Sending mass messages to bulk lists is prohibited and against Cellcast terms of service. You may send messages to individuals who have opted in to receive information from you.
How are we combating Scammers?
Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) have put forward tightened measures to block scam traffic and this has practical implications for Cellcast Messaging. We will be implementing below measures to follow ACMA new SMS Scam Code.
Alpha Sender ID verification Program:
We require you to verify yourself and your business at the commencement of your engagement with Cellcast.
You will be required to complete a survey surrounding the intended use-case for your messaging.
